“Street Photography” as a subject invites a lot of discussions: Can it be in color? Does it have to always include people? To avoid all these discussions, I prefer to use the term “City Life.” This genre forms the main goal of my photography: to document everyday life as it takes place in my neighborhood, in my town. Of course, there are also ethical, even legal implications related to “street photography:” To my knowledge, in the country where I live, there is no legal restriction on photographing people in public space; but I try to abide by the golden rule of street photography: “Thou shall not photograph others in circumstances you wouldn’t want yourself to be photographed."
