There is an age in our lives when the loved ones start taking their leaves more often — so painful, so sad. It is this pain, this sadness that lead me to undertake the PORTRAIT-52 project, during which I made an attempt to make a portrait of a family member, of a friend, a friend of a friend, each week. Immediately I came to realize, that still photography doesn’t capture all dimensions of life stories: it preserves the look on the face, but it doesn’t record the intonation of the voice, the motion of a gesture. For these, I had to venture into video. You can access these recordings through the WEB site of the project.
